TISAS’ New PX-9 2.0 Duty Comp Pistol Review — Shooting Times
TISAS USA’s PX-9 2.0 Duty Comp is a striker-fired 9mm designed to compete directly with established duty and competition pistols, and it makes a strong first impression. From its ergonomic, aggressively textured grip to its compensated match-grade barrel and optic-ready slide, the pistol delivers a “love at first grasp” feel that immediately sets it apart. Out of the box, it includes premium features rarely seen at its price point—an aluminum flat-faced trigger, interchangeable grip panels, extended magwell, 18- and 20-round magazines, and a Kydex holster—positioning it as a true crossover option for duty use, home defense, and competition.
On the range, the PX-9 2.0 Duty Comp proved accurate and controllable, producing consistent 2–3 inch groups at 25 yards, aided by its compensator and well-balanced frame. While the trigger is slightly spongy and the extended magazine release may require adjustment for carry use, overall reliability, recoil management, and shootability impressed. With strong ergonomics, solid performance, and an MSRP just over $500, the PX-9 2.0 Duty Comp represents a compelling alternative to legacy polymer pistols without trying to replace them outright.
